Veterinary Technicians work closely with the Veterinarians and take care of drawing blood, placing catheters, assisting in surgery, managing anesthesia and administering medications.
Ali Lussier, grew up in Williams Lake, BC. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops in June 2019 and loves both small and large animal medicine.
She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking with her two dogs Dani & Tayt, dirt biking and traveling.
Alyssa graduated from Thompson Rivers University with her diploma in Animal Health Technology in 2010. She has been a member of the Riverside team since June 2012. She loves working in a positive environment with friendly staff.
She enjoys interacting with all the great clients and patients, and also really likes working in the clinic’s in-house laboratory. In her spare time she enjoys many hobbies, especially drumming and singing in her band, along with outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and gardening. She also really enjoys sewing and crafting. At home she has a dog and a cat - Sunny and Meulin.
Donna is part of the original Riverside Team! She loves working with all the great animals and the staff. At home Donna enjoys hiking and and riding and is often joined by her dogs Mocha, a Border Collie, and Jock, a Corgi.
Her household is also shared with cat name ChiChi and two horses named Benny and BoBo. Donna has taken time off to raise three beautiful girls who have continued the family rodeo tradition. Many horses, dogs, and cats have graced their home over the years.
Jackie has been party of the team at Riverside since 2011, starting out as a kennel assistant. She graduated with her diploma in Animal Health Technology at Thompson Rivers University in 2012. She has enjoyed working with the wonderful patients and the great staff.
She adopted two animals from the TRU adoption program, her dog Hannah, and her cat Lewis. When not working as a RVT Jackie enjoys the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Kim graduated from Grande Prairie Regional College in Fairview , AB in 2011. She has a border collie named Maisy and two cats; Lemmy and Lucy-Furr.
Kim has been a great addition to the Riverside team since April 2014. When not working she usually is snowboarding at Sun Peaks and in the warmer months out hiking and camping.
My name is Britney Harkness and I graduated from the Grande Prairie Regional College AHT program in 2017 and started working at RSAH soon after.
Crystal was born and raised in the small town of Golden B.C., but Kamloops has been her new home since graduating from the Animal Health Technology Program at TRU, and starting her career at Riverside Small Animal Hospital in 2015.
In her spare time she enjoys a wide variety of hobbies and sports such as, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, dirt biking, squash.
Kim graduated from the AHT program and joined the Riverside team in 2013. She enjoys surgery and providing the best care possible to the hospital patients.
At home Kim has her dog Fisher, and two cats Thomas and Beckham. Outside of work she enjoys hiking and camping with her dog, husband and daughter.
