Kelsey grew up in Kamloops on her family's ranch, where her love for animals began. Over the years she's cared for everything from cows and hamsters to horses and cats. In September 2025, she will begin the RVT program at Thompson Rivers University, with the goal of specializing in large animal care.

Outside of work, she shows performance horses in reining and ranch riding events across BC and Alberta. She currently shares her home with two border collies, a miniature blue heeler, two quarter horses and three cats!
