In 2020 Kristen relocated back to Kamloops from the lower mainland. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but life took her in a different direction and she started a family first. She later had the opportunity to take the Veterinary Assistant program through Sprott Shaw College, graduating in 2022!

When she's not at work, she spends time with her husband and two children. As a family, they love being outdoors - biking, hiking, skiing and spending time at the beach. 

The photo is of their beloved Siberian Husky, Tux, who was a cherished member of the family for 15 years and is greatly missed.
